Hello, my Love!
Yesterday was a busy day...J and I got up really early to make a meal for a family (the poor mama has cancer that spread throughout her entire body, so please pray for the W family if you are reading this). After we delivered the meal, we took Ms. Jennifer to the Thai truck, which was heavenly. I think that we will have many more Thai truck lunch dates while you boys are away! The owner was awesome, as usual, and even came over to play with J with a pretend sword...though J seemed less than enthused, after having just woken up from his nap. Chicken nuggets made it better, so no worries. And then we ran some errands.
Since we weren't really hungry, we decided to have ice cream for dinner. I would love to say that I did this for Josiah's benefit, but I am pregnant and everyone would know that it is a lie. BUT, he did have fun and actually ate his entire bowl of sprinkled cake batter ice cream, so I don't feel too bad about it! He was hamming it up for the camera while we were there, so those are the photos we are sharing today.
I am really excited for today's photos and hope they turn out cute. We have some fun stuff planned for this afternoon, that I hope he enjoys. We shall see!
J seems to be developing into a pattern, so before bed last night, he came and crawled on my lap, and said, "I miss my Daddy. Do you, Mommy?" It will break my heart every time, I am sure...but I think you would be proud that I didn't cry and was able to sit there and talk about what you are doing with him. We looked at photos of you yesterday and I think I am going to start a skittle countdown jar with him too. I don't think a map is quite within his understanding yet (especially if he has his mom's geography skills), but we may try to keep one of those up as well, so that he can see where the army has taken us.
By the way, I do miss you terribly. I love you so much and can't wait for you to return!
We love you and hope that the Lord continues to grant you strength and encouragement as you hit the ground running. Praying for you, baby!
All My Love,
Jessica
